Celebrating Another Blessed Year at Cintai’s Corito Garden

Birthdays are joyous occasions that should be spent with the people we care about. This past June, I celebrated another year of blessings together with my family at Cintai Corrito’s Garden in Batangas.

If what you are looking for is a destination to retreat to that is serene and peaceful, this is a great place for you to consider. Cintai was designed with Balinese architecture as inspiration, so expect to see intricate wood carvings and beautiful sculptures at every turn. Its name, Cintai, is actually Indonesian, too. A word that means love. Isn’t that beautiful?

We booked a Family Terrace Villa for our stay, which was from June 18 to 19, 2017. During our visit, the rate for this type of room was PHP11,550, inclusive of breakfast for four persons. Even the interiors of the room and bathroom looked very much like they were straight out of Bali.

I should share that one thing I noticed about the room is that there was no phone inside. WiFi connectivity is also weak in the villa. Like I said earlier, this is more of a place to go to if you want to relax or escape. It’s not really conducive for work, so it’s better to leave your pending tasks at the office.

No place is perfect, and I have to admit that we did have our issues with Cintai, albeit minor. When we arrived, our slot for lunch was not readily available, for instance, despite the fact that we called in advance to reserve. We ended up waiting for half an hour before we were finally able to eat.

Also, arrived at Cintai a little late for lunch, and some of the food stations at the buffet were not replenished anymore. Food selection was limited as well.

There is a lot of open space at Cintai, and many of the pocket areas are great for reflection, meditation, and me-time. Even if you aren’t much of an outdoorsy person, you will want to spend time outside while at Cintai because the gardens are absolutely gorgeous.

Some of the activities you can do with family and friends at Cintai include biking, running, and swimming. There are some animals and fish in the area, and watching them can be fun for small kids. Little ones can also enjoy hanging out at the playground area. If you prefer to stay indoors, you can always catch a movie or book a relaxing session at the spa.

Cintai Corito’s Garden is beautiful, and definitely a place you should consider checking out if you are headed for the Batangas area. It’s a lovely, serene escape from the city, and something different from the usual beach getaway. Don’t forget to pack a book, a journal and a camera when you visit!
