Any Night Is A Great Night At Honeycomb In Dumaguete

Any night of the week is a great time to come and chill at Honeycomb in Dumaguete. This is because they have live bands performing there each and every night. They’ve got you covered whether you need to unwind after a long day at work or you are looking for a place to hang out with friends on the weekend. The best is that it’s situated right along Rizal Avenue, directly across Rizal Boulevard.

Honeycomb is actually a tourist inn, and their nightly entertainment caters to both walk-in and stay-in guests. During my visit, I arrived late, a little after 9:00 PM, and the place was already packed. It took a while before I was seated, and I’m grateful that the servers were still able to find a table for me despite the amount of people already there.

After quickly browsing through the menu, I decided to just order the house specialties. For food, I went with the Honeycomb Chicken, which comes in two sizes. A whole order costs PHP320, and a half order goes for PHP170. I chose the half, and really enjoyed it. The dish was flavorful and delicious.

It took me a while to choose a cocktail, as there are quite a number of options on the drink list. I finally settled on the Honeycomb Cocktail, which, according to my waitress, is a mix of a number of drinks spirits including vodka, rum, and whiskey. I ordered a glass of this, and was surprised at how strong it was. Both the taste and smell were very harsh for my personal taste, but I can imagine how people who enjoy drinking would be attracted to this cocktail.

The band performing on the night I was there was great, even accommodating song requests and having the crowd join in. Their set list was nice too, made up of an interesting mix of songs. Plus, the sound quality at Honeycomb is pretty good, which makes the experience even better.

I really had fun visiting Honeycomb, and I daresay that it was an awesome night of good music, food and drinks, and the wonderful sea breeze from the boulevard.
